Verify account ownership (Account Check)

Account Check service enables you to confirm account ownership by retrieving account details and associated account holder information. This service combines account information with verified customer identity data, making it suitable for onboarding, fraud prevention, beneficiary validation, compliance checks, and account verification workflows.

Account Check service provides a consolidated view of customer accounts and associated account holder information linked to an authorized consent.

Using this service, you can:

Verify account ownership.
Validate account holder details.
Confirm the relationship between a customer and an account.
Support customer onboarding and KYC processes.
Reduce fraud and account impersonation risks.
Verify beneficiary and payout account information.

The response includes account details, account identifiers, account holder information, and verified identity claims associated with the account.

Important information

The consentId must refer to an active and authorized consent
A valid access token must be included in the Authorization: Bearer header

This API can only be accessed using a valid and active consent. Before accessing this service, ensure that a consent has been created and authorized with the required useCaseType and permissions.

The consent must include the appropriate useCaseType and permission values that allow access to the corresponding financial data services.

If you do not already have a consent with the required configuration, you must first create one using the Create Consent API and ensure that it is successfully authorized. Once the consent becomes active, the generated consentId can be used to access this API service.

Verify Account Ownership

This service requires consentId and returns all accounts parties associated with that consent for verification.
